Tanzania’s president Samia Suluhu set to visit Kenya

Tanzania's president Her Excellency Samia Suluhu Hassan is expected to arrive in the country on Tuesday, May 4 for a two-day tour.

In a statement, the Statehouse spokesperson Kanze Dena has confirmed that Mama Samia will be received by President Uhuru Kenyatta at State House in Nairobi. She also noted more information will be shared in the due course.

The president who rose to power after the death of Tanzania's former president John Magufuli, made her first trip as President to Uganda on April 11 to meet President Yoweri Museveni.

Suluhu noted that the main agenda was to reinforce the bilateral ties and see the completion of the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) Tripartite project agreement.
