Sunday blackout to affect Nairobi, 3 other counties – Kenya Power

5 counties to be affected by blackout on Monday - Kenya Power

Kenya Power on Saturday announced planned power interruptions that will affect four counties on Sunday.

In a statement, the utility company said the power interruptions will affect counties such as Nairobi, Kiambu, Elgeyo Marakwet and Uasin Gishu from 8 am to 5 pm.

Nairobi areas that will be affected by the planned blackout include; Dunga Rd, Dunga Close, Manchester Outfitters, Ministry of Water, Ministry of Public Works, KEMSA, MECOL, WELFAST, NITA, Commercial Street, Bunya Rd, Carbacide Gases, Vee Products, Baricho Rd, Bungoma Rd, CFF Ministry, Chinese Construction Co, Witu Rd, Highway Mall, Toyota Kenya, G4S, DHL, Man Track Caterpillar, Lusaka Rd, Kenya Post & Telecommunication Corp, Penba Street, General Industries, Yoga House, Part of Unga, Landi Mawe, Numerical Machines, Workshop Rd and adjacent customers.

The areas will be affected from 9 am to 5 pm.

In Uasin Gishu, the blackout will affect suchTorochmoi Centre which includes areas such as Kabatu Village, Torochmoi Center, Kaburgei, Chepkoilel Sec Sch and adjacent customers from 9.30 am to 5 pm.

Parts of Elgeyo Marakwet areas that will experience blackout from 8 am to 5 pm include; Iten Town, Ken Town, Elgeyo Border, Tambach, Anin, Kendur & adjacent customers.

Kiambu areas that will be affected from 9 am to 5 pm include; the whole of Kiandutu H/Centre, Broadway Juca Workshop, Pump Site Fact, Kahawa Bora, Chania Feeds, KVM, Part of Capwell and adjacent customers.

Other areas in Kiambu that will be affected include; Rumenye, Ndenderu, Kianjogu, Rueno, Shell, Kihara, Kagongo, Karura Kanyungu, Wangunyu Girls, Stage Nane, Njonjo Farm, Cura, Nyathuna, Rukubi, Kahuho Sec Sch, Nyathuna, Mwimuto, Gathiga Village, Kessel Homes, Epic, Mwimuto, Wangige, Kingeero, Ndumbuini, Uthiru Gichagi, Genesis, Kanyariri, Fort Smith, Gachio, Gitaru, Kirangari, Kahuho, Kamutiini, Karura ka Nyungu, Karura Kagongo, Karura ka Murimo, St. Tito & adjacent customers

The mentioned areas will be affected from 8 am to 5 pm.
