Former Nairobi County Governor Mike Sonko on Wednesday, November 24 filed a petition to the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) seeking the removal of Justice Juma Saudi Chitembwe from office.

In a statement, Sonko said that he filed the petition at the JSC officer in Reinsurance Plaza along Taifa Road in Nairobi.

Sonko further revealed that he is planning to file more petitions to the JSC explaining how widows and investors have lost properties in the country due to the corruption in the judiciary.

“More petitions on how widows and investors have been swindled properties worth billions in a conspiracy between some judges, lawyers, land grabbers and known cartel are also coming,” he said.

Sonko said that he is filing the petitions to clean up the system with the judiciary and not to blackmail it as some people claim.

“I reiterate that I have a lot of respect for the Judiciary and I would further wish to state that I’m not trying to blackmail any judicial officer whatsoever,” he explained.

His statement comes hours after he vowed during an interview with a local TV station that he will release more video exposing the rot with the arm of government.

This is after he released a series of videos showing the rot in the judiciary that he claimed was hawking justice to the highest bidder.

“We have recordings that go back for months on how justice within the courts goes to the highest bidder. If you give a judge Sh100 million and another person gives him Ksh200 million, it is the person offering Sh200 million that will win the case. This has nothing to do with justice,” he explained.
