Catholic priest Richard Oduor was on Thursday, April 16, freed on bond after denying a charge of spreading coronavirus disease.

The Siaya priest was granted Sh500,000 bond and directed to go into self-quarantine for 14 days.

The Nairobi court ordered Father Oduor to quarantine himself at the Asisi house on Adams Arcade which is run by the Franciscan Sisters of St Josephs.

The priest was arrested last week on April 9, after being discharged from hospital in Nairobi where was treated for Covid-19.
