Police in Baringo has launched investigations after a 43-year-old man lost his life yesterday afternoon, following an ugly domestic incident pitting him against his wife.
The man identified as Joseph Kapteto allegedly died as he was being rushed to Baringo county referral hospital for specialized attention, after a serious offensive in their compound pitting him against his wife.
“In an incident never witnessed in Loboi, Marigat Sub County, the man had earlier been rushed to Marigat sub-county hospital, but medical personnel at the facility could not handle his condition owing to the extent of his injuries,” DCI said

The two are reported to have engaged in a fistfight for the better part of the afternoon that would degenerate to stone-throwing.
“The man and wife turned their compound into a battlefield, as each took vantage positions from where they launched their onslaught,” DCI said.
However, moments later, the man of the house lay on the ground subdued, as the wife Nancy Jebet, 43, bled from wounds inflicted on her head by the deceased.
Jebet was later rushed to Marigat Sub County hospital for further treatment.
