Two security guards were arrested on accusations of stealing banquet chairs and plastic containers for storing water.

The two David Masinde Kwoba and Festus Cheruiyot were said to have stolen the seats and 200-litre plastic drum all valued at Ksh46,800 on October 31st at CKL company limited within Kangemi, Kiambu.

According to court records, on October 18, the company had a function at their grounds and had hired the seats and some materials from another company for the event.

After the event, the company that supplied the chairs realized nine of them were missing and reported the matter to the security manager of CKl Company.

Soon after doing investigations, he discovered that the items had been handled by the two accused persons whom he summoned to return the chairs but they did not comply.

The two guards were handed over to authorities to face theft charges and were arraigned in Kibera court before senior principal Magistrate Esther Boke.

They denied the charges and the matter was scheduled to be mentioned on November 26.
