A robbery with violence suspect was on Saturday night shot dead by the police in Kawangware, Nairobi, during a police crackdown in the area.
The suspect who was in the company of two others who escaped during the crackdown is accused of being part of a gang that had been robbing pedestrians in the areas.
"The suspect, who was part of a miscreant gang that was robbing pedestrians, was shot dead during a crossfire incident with our police officers. His two accomplices, however, escaped from the incident," the DCI said.

From the incident, the DCI said that they recovered a loaded firearm.
"A firearm loaded with 3 rounds of 9mm calibre was recovered from the shot suspect. Manhunt for the two remaining miscreants is currently ongoing," the DCI said.
