Raila receives heroic welcome at Kalonzo’s NDC

Orange Democratic Movement leader Raila Odinga, on Thursday, received an outstanding welcome at Wiper Party's National Delegates Conference (NDC).

Raila joined Kalonzo and other One Kenya Alliance (OKA) principals at the event that was held at Kasarani gymnasium.

On the arrival, the ODM chief was welcomed with cheers and noise from the audience. For some moment, Raila had to stop midway to his seat to wave to the highly spirited Wiper delegates.

Raila also had a handshake with other political leaders who were present at the delegation.

Raila visited a ceremony the Wiper Party is expected to approve a coalition-making agreement that it will have other political parties ahead of the next year's election.

Raila joined OKA principals Gideon Moi, Cyrus Njirongo, Musalia Mudavadi at the ceremony where the Wiper party is planning to make its various announcement regarding the 2022 General Election.

Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Junior said that the party will also use the conference to change its constitution as well as endorse Kalonzo as its flag bearer in the 2022 presidential election.

"Our agenda is to change the party's constitution, colours, appoint new officials, endorse Kalonzo for the presidency and approve our coalition agreement," Kilonzo said.
