Raila would beat Ruto with 8 per cent margin in Kajiado – TIFA

Raila Odinga of the Azimio One Kenya coalition is the most preferred candidate in Kajiado, a new survey by TIFA shows. In the data released on Tuesday, August 2022, TIFA placed Raila ahead of the pack with an approval rate of 47 per cent.

The Azimio leader's main challenger William Ruto of the Kenya Kwanza alliance is ranked second with 39 per cent. Roots party candidate George Wajackoyah and David Mwaure of the Agano party scored 2 per cent and 0 per cent respectively.

According to the study, 12 per cent of voters in the city are undecided. The firm conducted 527 interviews between July 27 and 28, 2022 across all the constituencies in Kajiado. The poll's margin of error was plus or minus 4 per cent. 

On party popularity, the survey shows Ruto-led UDA is the most popular party in the county with an approval rate of 31 per cent.

Raila's Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party is ranked second with 34 per cent in the popularity rating.

Jubilee Party is rated third with a 9 per cent rating while George Wajackoyah’s Roots Party came in fourth with 1 per cent.
