Police in Bungoma have summoned yet another preacher over allegations of running a religious cult in Western Kenya.

The cleric identified as Ronald Nakalila Wanyama, alias Nabii Yohana, has been asked to appear before the Bungoma Police Commander Franci Kooli on June 2, 2023.

Wanyama, 83, is the leader of the Church for All Nations located in Kanduyi, Bungoma.

The man, who has 42 wives and 289 children caught the spotlight after he announced that he would unveil his own bible as well as a new currency.

The police boss says Wanyama will be questioned for alleged controversial teachings with police saying that he uses a self-written 93-book bible to lead his ministry.

The controversial preacher is also said to have devised his own 12 commandments where he added two to the original ten.

This comes after police summoned another preacher Eliud Wekesa, popularly known as Yesu wa Tongaren.

Wekesa was arrested and after spending five days in police custody, the prosecution told the court that they had no evidence against the 42-year-old cleric.
