Police have recovered the clothes worn by the main suspect in the murder of Nairobi Hospital’s acting Finance Director Eric Maigo.

In a statement, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) said that the suspect identified as Ann Adhiambo alias Nut is aged between 15 to 17 years old.

"Detectives have recovered clothes believed to have been worn by the main suspect during the cold-blooded murder of Nairobi Hospital’s Acting Finance Director Eric Maigo, last Friday, September 15, 2023," DCI stated.

The clothes, a red checkered shirt and a grey pair of animal-print pants were found in a semi-permanent wooden shack in Bombolulu village, in Kibira.

The suspect is said to have sat her Kenya Certificate of Primary (KCPE) examination at the Dagoretti Approved School between 2021 and 2022.

Maigo, 36, was Friday morning found murdered in his house at Woodley estate, in Nairobi county at around 6am.

He had 25 stab wounds, some rupturing vital organs, causing his death.

Police said nothing had been stolen from the house.
