Police officers in Suna East, Migori County are detaining their colleague who threatened to end the life of a woman who he accuses of inciting his wife to leave him.

In a police report seen by K24 Digital, Eric Ochieng', a police constable threatened to end the life of Lucy Atandi a resident of Police Line area in Migori town.

“It was reported by Lucy Atandi a resident of police line area within Migori town, that a person well known to her as Erick had gone to her house and started threatening that he will kill her after claiming that she was the one who incited his wife and children to leave him,” the report read in part.

This prompted police officers from Migori Police Station to rush to the rental units where Atandi resides.

They arrested the suspect and took him to the police station.

The officer was grilled and he revealed that he was attached to Kondele Police Station in Kisumu County.

Ochieng' had taken a three-day off to settle the differences with the wife when he was nabbed.

“The officer had arrived and found his house within the Administrative Police Line in Migori deserted, closed and padlocks changed. He gained access by breaking the padlock,” the report read in part.

Ochieng' was then informed that his wife and children were at Atandi’s house.

He headed there and indeed found them in the house leading to a serious altercation between Atandi and Ochieng'.

“He is currently held at Migori Police Station cells pending arraignment on Monday, February 7,” the police report further read.
