The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has informed the Dutch Embassy that one of its nationals has been arrested in Nairobi.

The Dutchman, identified by police as Ronald Huijzer, was arrested in Ngara area and was found without a foreign certificate.

In a letter dated September 21, 2019, police said the 45-year-old was arrested by Flying Squad officers who were acting on a tip-off from members of the public.

“The prisoner has been detained at the Pangani Police Station waiting to be arraigned on September 23, 2019,” DCI said in a statement.
