Nairobi: Police arrest 2 in connection with guest house stabbing

Two suspects were on Sunday, July 17, 2022, arrested as the police continue with their investigations into the stabbing of a middle-aged man in a guest house along Kirinyaga road in the Nairobi Business District (CBD).

According to a Police report seen by K24 Digital, 30-year-Old Vincent, who worked with the National Youth Service (NYS) based at Jamhuri, was found stabbed by the police who had been informed of a commotion at the guest house.

The Police managed to arrest two suspects Kazungu Shadrack and Eunice Mbula in connection to the incident and placed them in custody.

“Police on patrol along Kirinyaga road received information that there was a commotion at Wakulima Guest House and that a person had been assaulted,” the Police report stated.

The victim who is a civil servant with NYS based at Jamhuri base had been stabbed on the right side of the head slightly above the ear,” the report added.

The victim was rushed to Memorial Hospital where he is currently admitted in serious condition as the police are continuing with investigations to identify the reasons why he was assaulted.

Police in Kayole

Elsewhere in the Matopeni area Kayole, Police are investigating an incident where a man admitted to Mama Lucy hospital is alleged to have slipped from the fourth floor of an unfinished building.

The man identified as Josephat Ochieng Opondo was spotted by his neighbour lying on the ground as he screaming for help.

According to the medical report, he had a fracture on his left hand and hip joint.

“Officers visited the scene and established that the victim slipped from the fourth floor of an unfinished building and he sustained a fracture on the hand and hip joint,” the police report read in part.
