Political parties within One Kenya Alliance (OKA) on Wednesday, February 2, signed a Deed of Assignment that will allow all the principals to have ownership of the alliance.

The four principals; Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper), Gideon Moi (KANU), Cyrus Jirongo (UDP) and Martha Karua (Nark Kenya) have signed the deed at the Wiper party's headquarters in Karen.

One Kenya Alliance was previously preserved under Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka's name at the Registrar of Political Parties.

The move by the principals to have an equal say in the alliance comes a week after they revealed that they will soon jointly present a presidential candidate for the August election.

Speaking in Kirinyaga, the OKA principals revealed that they will declare their presidential flag bearer in the next six weeks, a move that they say will neutralise the perceived two-horse race.

Karua said that their preferred candidate will be a person with no record of corruption and one in whose hands the country will be safe.

"Kenya has a rich menu of leaders. We cannot be told we have only two people for top leadership. We will give you a surprise in the next six weeks," Karua said.
