The saga where twin brothers Eddie Ndichu and Paul Ndichu are accused of assaulting women at Ole Sereni hotel is becoming interesting by the day.
In a video that went viral online, one of the two brothers were accused of fighting 22-year-old Stephanie Murgor who was in the company of her elder sister Cheryl Murgor at the Nairobi hotel.
Cheryl had alleged that her sister was assaulted after she failed to give in to the advances made by one of the Ndichu twins.
The matter caused a major uproar on social media with Kenyans rebuking the Ndichus for being at the centre of gender-based violence.
But on Sunday, October 24, 2021, part of a CCTV clip emerged on social media showing two women leaving almost everyone tongue-tied.
In the clip, two women are seen aiming blows at each other with a final punch sending one of them down to the floor.
We have sought clarification from the two parties; Ndichus and Murgors and they have both confirmed that the ladies actually involved in the fight as shown in that part of the clip.
“The one in the white pair of trousers and black top is Hassan Munyra who was with Eddie Ndichu and Paul Ndichu. She is the one who knocked out her opponent, Cheryl Murgor,” the parties confirmed to K24 Digital.
The Murgor side is however insisting that the part does not represent what transpired during the entire incident.
They believe that the slide has been carefully picked to dismiss the fact that the Ndichu brothers fought the women.
Ndichu side on the other hand is maintaining that the gentlemen were only cooling down a fierce fight that had broken out between the ladies.
Other persons who have since been established to have been present during the whole scuffle are Cheryl’s boyfriend Samuel Ramdas and their friend Patrick Koech.
It is also worth noting that Hassan Munyra has been identified as Senior Counsel Ahmednasir Abdullahi’s niece while Cheryl and Stephanie are nieces of Senior Counsel Philip Murgor.
The matter is currently under investigation by appropriate bodies.
