The death of Justus Mutua who was a manager of a Molo Flower farm was a well-calculated move, authorities suspect.

This is according to Molo Sub-county Police Commander Samuel Mukhusi, who confirmed to K24 Digital after Mutua's body was found lifeless in his car along the Molo-Olenguruone route last night.

Mukhusi now urges residents to give out any information regarding the murder to the police who have since launched investigations.

“I want to call upon members of the public to cooperate and give us any information that would help us get hold of the attackers. This seems to be a well-calculated scheme. It was not just an accident,” Mukhusi said.

The residents of Nyaruai area in Molo where the act is believed to have taken place, however, finger the security apparatus in the area accusing them of laxity. They say that for a while now the area has become prone to cold murders, defilement cases and other heinous acts.

“Insecurity has become a norm in this area. We have been experiencing such cases in the past few months and we are worried,” retorted Eric Rono who is one of the residents.

They now urge the government to rebuild a police post in the area hoping that it will restore security.

“We want back the police post that used to be in this area. We have known no security since the post was closed, and if the government is able, it can put up a well-done police station here to fully revert the security situation.” another resident Daniel Nyang’ara added.

Showing remorse, Sirikwa area MCA Alfred Mutai asked the police to hasten investigation.

“We urge the government to investigate cause of this death immediately, as the Sirikwa community are saddened that one of the greatest employers and one who had the youth’s interests at heart is now no more,” he said.
