Over 100 students lose belongings after fire burns down dormitory at Kituro High School

Students of Kituro High School in Baringo County are counting losses after a fire razed down one of their dormitories on Sunday night.

The fire which started at around 9 pm when students were in class for their evening preps destroyed property, including beddings, uniforms, and storage boxes.

Students had to lend hand to the Baringo County fire brigade to contain the fire and stop it from spreading to another dormitory.

The fire left about 100 students without their basic essentials, forcing them to share beddings with their colleagues.

The incident follows in the wake of student unrest in several schools across the country.
