OKA promises to give sex workers free medical cover

One Kenya Alliance principals moved to the Coastal region on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, to popularize their quest to clinch the presidency in 2022.

The OKA brigade commenced their Coastal tour with stopovers in Taita Taveta County, where they promised residents a bag of goodies in the event that they clinch power come next year.

Speaking to residents in Taita Taveta, Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetangula revealed that their administration will ensure sex workers have access to free medical cover.

Wetangula noted that Kenyans strive to access proper medication and therefore their administration will ensure that every citizen has a medical cover.

"Ordinary citizens strive to get proper medication and to educate their children. If OKA ascends to power, every Kenyan citizen including the sex workers will be covered under the National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF)," he said.

Other than the medical cover, the OKA principals also promised to fight corruption and enhance security in the country.

"The greatest problem our people face in the fight against poverty is corruption. OKA's government will ensure that the corrupt are dealt with," OKA co-principal, Gideon Moi said.

On his side, ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi said that their administration will ensure that every Kenyans live in a country that is insecurity free.

He said that they will ensure that they create an environment where people can invest and undertake their economical activities without fear.

OKA's promise to the sex workers comes days after Deputy President William Ruto also offered sex workers in Mtito Andei, Makueni County  Ksh 1 million to improve their lives.
