Nyeri senator Ephraim Maina has on Friday November 26, 2021 stated that he was a student of ODM Leader Raila Odinga during his time as a lecturer in the University of Nairobi.
Maina, who was speaking at a political event convened by Mt Kenya region leaders to endorse Raila's 2022 bid, said that he owes Raila alot since he played part in building his engineering career.
"Raila was my lecturer in university. So anytime you refer to me as an engineer, know that I gained my knowledge from him. He is also an engineer like me and I have no doubt in his ability to lead this country," he said.

The veteran politician also stated that a Raila administration would fight and suppress corruption. He further stated that among the frontrunners in the Uhuru succession race, Raila is the only candidate that has the interests of the nation at heart.
Raila is meeting Nyeri county residents, elected leaders from the Mt Kenya region and grass root leaders at the Kabiruini grounds in Nyeri County. The meeting is among a string of engagements that the former premier has had with residents of the vote-rich region.
