Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya coalition diehard Nuru Okanga has threatened to sue police officers who arrested him accusing them of violating his rights.
Speaking during an interview with a local YouTuber, Okanga candidly detailed that he was suing the officers because they embarrassed him before his wife and children after they arrested him while he was taking a bath.
While claiming that the officers humiliated him even after he asked them to let him dress up, the self-proclaimed Raila supporter alleged that he was arrested while naked and vowed to sue the officers and ensure they were brought to book.
Hao maaskari waliniharass lakini nlkua nimekataa kutoka niende, nilikua nimewaambia waache nivae nguo kwanza," he added.
Okanga was arrested and charged with the publication of false information about President William Ruto.
He is said to have published false and calculated statements discreditting the president's reputation on November 20, 2023.
While appearing before Nairobi Chief Magistrate Lucas Onyina, Okanga who is alleged to have published the information on his YouTube channel dubbed Riba News@ribanews denied the charges.
He was freed on a cash bail of Ksh100,000.
