Mercy Wanjau, the new Communications Authority boss is not letting her former director-general Francis Wangusi rest easy.

Ms Wanjau has given Mr Wangusi a 30-day ultimatum to vacate the government-owned house he occupies.

This is after his second contract ended on August 19, 2019 after reaching the mandatory retirement age.

In the letter, Ms Wanjau informs the outgoing boss that he has until September 22, 2019 to find alternative housing.

Mr Wangusi has vowed not hand over to Ms Wanjau who was appointed in an acting capacity.

He said the current board is not lawfully constituted and cannot purport to appoint his replacement.

People Daily’s ‘Business Hub’ has established that Wangusi, who was absent during the announcement, has no plans to hand over to the new appointee and intends to continue discharging his duties until a legally constituted board names his successor.
