Former Rift Valley Regional Commissioner George Natembeya, who is hoping to succeed Governor Patrick Khaemba in Trans Nzoia has asked the county's residents to demand services from his office if he gets elected in August.

Addressing a political rally in Kiminini, Natembeya said every person in Trans Nzoia County has a right to access any public office and should be served without any form of discrimination.

"If you are coming to my office, put on two pairs of clothes. If you are blocked from seeing me, strip off the upper pair of clothes and wail. That will attract my attention and I will come to serve you," Natembeya said.

"It is your constitutional right to get quality and timely service from the government," he challenged the residents.

Natembeya also took a swipe at the current administration which he said is full of lazy officials who have neglected their duties.

"It is sad that some county government employees are so lazy that instead of serving the people of Trans Nzoia, they block them from county government offices," he added.

Natembeya said he will complete and operationalize Trans Nzoia County Teaching and Referral Hospital which he says has consumed Ksh1.6 billion.

"It is very demoralizing that our people are still forced to look for health services outside this county while health is a fully devolved function.

"I promise you that if we form the next government we shall complete, equip and operationalize our county hospital," Natembeya said.
