Police in Narok are investigating an incident where a 22-year-old man died under mysterious circumstances while his lover was left nursing serious injuries.
According to a police report seen by K24 Digital, the deceased identified as Edwin Onduso was in the company of his girlfriend Abigail Mpeti, 21, when he met his untimely death.
The deceased's roommate, Erick Osoro, who reported the incident told police that he had escorted them to their rented house and left
When he returned at 1:00 am, he found the door locked from the inside and upon knocking the door went unanswered. This prompted him to look for a room to spend the night in.
"It was reported by one Erick Osoro Migiro that yesterday at around 2100hrs, he escorted his roommate Edwin Onduso and his girlfriend Abigal Mpeti to their rented house within Silent area,"
However, at 2:00 am, Osoro was woken up by his neighbour informing him that his roommate had been killed.
"The reportee immediately left, and On coming back at around 0100hrs he found the house locked from inside, knocked the door but was not opened. It prompted the reportee to spend the night in a vacant room just within the same compound. At about 0200hrs the same night, he was woken up by his neighbour informing him that his roommate had been killed," the police report reads in parts.
Police who visited the scene found the door knocked down and blood stains all over the floor.
They found the body of the deceased lying naked and facing upwards with a deep cut on the head with his throat slit. The lady was found with a deep cut on the right thigh and both hands.
Mpeti was rushed to Narok County Referral Hospital while the body of the deceased was taken to a nearby morgue pending an autopsy.
