Kenya-Tanzania border crossing at Namanga has emerged as a Covid-19 hotspot after nine truck drivers in Kajiado and five in Tanzania tested positive for coronavirus.
Announcing the updates on Monday, Health official, Dr. Rashid Aman, said that the five Tanzanian truck drivers were turned around after testing positive.
The Health Ministry said that 28 more people in Kenya tested positive for coronavirus disease in the last 24 hours.

This brings the total infections in the country to 700.
Ten of the new cases were in Mombasa, nine in Kajiado, seven in Nairobi and two from Wajir County.
Further, Dr Aman urged communities living on the Kenya border to keep a keen eye and report any movements on the Somalia border.
"We have seen that there is a lot of information out there, some of it factual and some not."
Many of these herbal products do not have any scientific evidence to their effectiveness whatsoever. We know that some want to profiteer from the pandemic. We ask Kenyans not to fall for that ruse," warned the Health official.
We are encouraging Kemri to carry out some studies on the effectiveness of products in a systematic and scientific way.
