A middle-aged man and his wife were on Friday evening (October 18) fatally electrocuted at their home in X-Margaret Village in Salgaa, Nakuru County.

The female victim was the first to be electrocuted when she came into contact with a live wire.

Her husband, in a bid to save her, tried to pull the woman’s hand from the wire, resulting in him being electrocuted too.

The two died on the spot, Boron location Nyumba Kumi initiative chairperson, Andrew Koros, told K24 Digital.

Neighbours, who rushed to the couple’s house, watched from a distance. They feared that if they touched the couple, they too will suffer the same fate.

Police, accompanied by Kenya Power officers, arrived at the couple’s house and took the victims’ bodies to Nakuru Level 5 Hospital morgue.

Still in Nakuru County, the body of a middle-aged man, whose face had been mutilated, was retrieved from Molo River Friday evening.

The man’s body was spotted floating in the waterway by a male resident who had gone to take a bath.

The deceased was taken to Nakuru Level 5 Hospital mortuary.
