Simon Ndungu Kinyanjui whose wife gave birth to five babies is now seeking help to take care of his children.

Kinyanjui's wife Magrate Wairimu gave birth to quintuplets at the Nakuru Level IV hospital on Tuesday evening.

Speaking to K24 Digital, Kinyanjui said he needed help to raise the newborn babies because the couple is not in a position to do it alone.

"I need help to take care of the babies because I wasn't expecting my wife would give birth to five babies," Kinyanjui said.

He added that they have an older child - a girl. The couple now has six children together even though Wairimu has only given birth twice.

25-year-old Wairimu was rushed to the theatre on Tuesday after doctors discovered that she was expecting quintuplets.

She gave birth to a boy and four girls who are now accommodated at the newborn unit in the hospital.
