Police in Embakasi, Nairobi are investigating an incident where a man and his lover are said to have been involved in the murder of another man following a love-triangle scuffle.

In the matter that is currently before the police, the man identified as Godfrey Oduma Sandua is said to have died after allegedly fighting with the couple.

Police say that moments before his death Sandua had visited the woman at her house in Pipeline Estate in Embakasi, Nairobi.

The two had drinks as they chatted, everything was going well until it was time for Sandua to leave.

As he was being escorted by the woman, they met the woman's lover on the ground floor.

Moments after he escaped, the other man hopped onto a motorbike and chased after Sandua. Upon catching up to him, he descended blows and kicks leaving him lying unconscious.

Sandua was rushed to a nearby health facility where he was pronounced dead.

The lovers are currently detained at Embakasi police station waiting to take a plea for murder after the Makadara Law courts allowed the investigating officer to detain them for two weeks.

The case will be heard on July 18.
