A middle-aged man from Kangemi in Nairobi was on Thursday afternoon (December 3) charged with sodomising his 43-year-old wife.

Charles Mwaniki, who was arraigned at the Kibera Law Courts, denied the allegation, claiming it was a “fabrication”.

Mwaniki told the court that he and his spouse had lived together for many years, and that his partner had never accused him of such an offense.

The charges stated that the accused “unlawfully used his manhood on the complainant unnaturally while at Kangemi, Nairobi County.”

The court was told that the alleged offense occurred repeatedly between August 2020 and November 2020.

It is alleged that Mwaniki committed the crime after his wife gave birth recently to their second child.

The suspect was released on a Ksh400,000 cash bail.

The matter is scheduled for mention on January 11, 2021.
