A Nairobi man has been accused of unlawfully and intentionally defiling and impregnating a schoolgirl.
According to the charge sheet, Kiprotich Sigey allegedly committed the offence on diverse dates between May and June 2021 within Kangemi area.
On the alternative charge, Kiprotich is said to have committed indecent acts with the minor on similar dates.

The court records further state that the accused and the minor met within their residential area where he is said to have enticed her to a relationship.
Police say the minor had been visiting the accused person until July when the girl's family noticed she had changed suspecting that she was dating.
Upon confrontation, she informed her mother of the illicit affair who chased her out of their home and having nowhere to go she relocated to Kiprotich's abode where she set camp until the end of September when members of the public intervened.
The minor was taken to health facilities where she was confirmed pregnant before the matter was reported to Kabete police station.
The accused person was arrested and arraigned in court.
He denied the charges before S.R. Renee Kitagwa and was set free on a bond of Ksh400,000 pending mention on October 26.
