A family in Langata, Nairobi is in mourning after their 31-year-old kin took her life on Tuesday, September 27, 2022.
The deceased, Esther Waceke Munyua, a doctor attached to a hospital in Lang'ata reportedly took her life by consuming poisonous alcohol after a long battle with depression.
Police who visited the scene stated that the youthful doctor was found lying unconscious inside her bedroom, with cans of alcohol, medicines and a suicide note written: "DEPRESSION IS REAL".

She was then rushed to the hospital where she was pronounced dead upon arrival.
"Munyua was found lying unconscious in her bedroom with cans of alcohol and some medicine. She was rushed to hospital and was pronounced dead on arrival," a police report seen by K24 Digital reads in part.
Preliminary reports indicate that the deceased had previously attempted suicide but was rescued by friends who caught her in the act.
The body was moved to the hospital's morgue awaiting an autopsy.
Another person kills self
In a separate incident, a body of a middle-aged man was found dangling from a tree at city park, Nairobi county, on Wednesday, September 28, 2022.
The deceased who had no identification documents was spotted by members of the public dangling from the tree with a rope around his neck.
The body was moved to the city mortuary awaiting identification and postmortem.
