Nairobi County Assembly has adjourned sittings indefinitely after being overwhelmed by high number of Covid-19 infections.

On Tuesday, April 6, Nairobi County Assembly Speaker Benson Mutura said the Assembly had more than 40 Covid-19 cases with two ward representatives in urgent need of oxygen.

Fifty MCAs have so far contracted Covid-19 with 35 currently recovering from the disease.

However, four other MCAs are hospitalised with two using oxygen-supporting machines. The two others are under the home-based care.
