Mutyambai issues stern warning to criminals during this festive season

Inspector-General of Police Hillary Mutyambai has sent a stern warning to criminals during this festive season saying that security agencies are on high alert to curb any form of insecurity.

Speaking in Athi-river this morning, Mutyambai said that the police service is working in cahoots with all concerned security stakeholders to ensure that the safety of Kenyans during this festive season is guaranteed.

The IG also urged Kenyans to give crucial information that will aid police to enhance security across the country.

He also cautioned motorists against road impunity and speeding.

He added that observing traffic rules is key in averting road accidents which are rampant during festive seasons.

Mutyambai also urged Kenyans not to lower their guard in observing the COVID-19 safety protocols.

The IG said that all Kenyans should take personal responsibility in curbing the spread of the virus.

Mutyambai also sent a message of goodwill to all Kenyans during this festive season.

He shared a light moment freely interacting with security officers drawn from Mavoko sub county to mark Christmas day at Athi-river police station.
