The split within Jubilee Party reared its ugly head on Sunday at a church in Murang'a County during a fundraiser.

The chaos at Gitui Catholic Church ensued after Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro crashed the fundraiser which was organised by members of the Kieleweke faction.

Nyoro, a member of the Tanga Tanga faction, said he could not allow the fundraiser to continue because he was not invited in the Jubilee function being held in his constituency.

"I am the MP and I am the only one who can invite people to functions in this constituency. I respect Maina Kamanda as a father and an elder, but I cannot allow him to come all the way from Nairobi to rule Kiharu Constituency," said Nyoro.

About 20 members of Parliament allied to the Kieleweke group had turned up for the fundraiser, which Nyoro said was organised by Jubilee nominated MP Maina Kamanda.
