Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria is expected to seek specialized treatment overseas after an electric blanket left him with serious burns on his legs.

An electric bedspread, or throw, is a blanket made from heavy, sturdy material with an internally integrated wiring system that provides warmth and heat through coil wires.

According to a reliable source who sought anonymity, Kuria is expected to either travel to India or China for a corrective surgery.

The MP has been receiving treatment at Karen hospital since September 27.

The source said that Kuria is in good condition but corrective surgery is needed for him to heal faster.

“Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria is in good condition but he is expected to travel overseas for specialized treatment," he said.

Kuria couldn’t attend the homecoming event of Juja MP George Koimburi whom he campaigned tiredly on Peoples’ empowerment party.

Deputy President William Ruto was the chief guest during the event where he was accompanied by a host of tanga tanga leaders.

Kuria who purchased the ksh250,000 mat through a friend has been recuperating at the Karen Hospital where he had remained for a month since he commenced treatment for the burns.

The MP recently vowed to sue the health care company whose product caused him third-degree burns in his feet.
