A female Form Two student who went missing from her parents’ home in Voi, Taita Taveta County six days ago, has been found.

The minor, 15, was on Friday morning found by the roadside in Maungu area by a Good Samaritan.

According to the rescuer, the girl appeared ill, and upon been interrogated, she said she had ingested pesticide with the aim of committing suicide.

The teenager, however, refused to explain the cause of her suicidal ideation.

Her parents told K24 Digital that they had not argued or fallen out with their daughter.

The student was taken to Moi County Referral Hospital in Voi, where she is receiving treatment.
