Police have launched a manhunt for two suspects who robbed two foreigners of two iPhones worth Ksh120,300 and Ksh4,850 in cash before escaping using a motorbike whose number plate had been folded.

In a police report seen by K24 Digital, the two victims Terry Bedford and Emma Fuller were walking along George Padmore road in the Kilimani area before they were intercepted by the two men thugs.

One of the robbers who was armed hit Terry on the face with an object he was carrying before committing the act of robbery.

"While walking along Padmore road, the two were stopped by two men who were the one who was armed hit Terry with an object on the face before searching them their two iPhones," the police report stated.

The robbery in Kilimani comes two days after a 32-year-old Tanzanian man who operates an M-Pesa shop in Gikomba was shot by a group of three men who were on foot before robbing him Ksh50,000.

The victim, identified as Mole Mongas and who was saved by officers on patrol, was shot in the shoulder.

"While on patrol, officers found a 32-year-old Tanzanian male identified as Mole Mogas who runs an M-Pesa shop within Gikomba had been shot on the shoulder by a gang of three men. The three who were on foot stole ish.50000 before fleeing," the police said in a report.

Mongas was rushed to the morning side clinic before he was referred to Mama Lucy Hospital where he was treated and is currently in a stable condition.

The police recovered two spent cartridges of 9mm from the scene, they are still hunting for the gang.
