Kirinyaga County Assembly has passed a Supplementary Budget allocating Sh4 million coronavirus disease control.

The Assembly resolved that all businesses, worship centres and government offices in the county provide hand sanitisers, clean water and soap.

The public health department has also been ordered to enforce compliance of hygienic health standards in the stipulated places.

The department of medical services has also been ordered to set aside special wards in the county referral hospital and three sub-county hospitals.

Governor Anne Waiguru's administration has also been asked to provide sanitisers in all public toilets, bus parks and other public spaces.
