There was a massive security breach in Bomet as Deputy President William Ruto was caught in between a fight inside Governor Hillary Barchok's office.

DP Ruto was in Bomet where he held various rallies as he urged residents to support his presidential bid in the August general elections.

At some point, he held an evening meeting with various political factions in the region. It is at the meeting that a fight allegedly broke between the opposing sides.

According to unconfirmed reports, the fight broke up between those supporting former Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto and the current governor Hillary Barchok.

The reports claimed that Rutto was denied access to Barchok's office where DP Ruto was chairing a meeting with local leaders to organize how his rallies were to be handled.

Recently, Governor Barchok reportedly warned his opponents against attending his meeting with DP Ruto.

“This is a UDA affair. If you are planning to come, you are welcome, but behave. We don’t want to be dictated in terms of who should speak and who shouldn’t,” Barchok said.

Barchok's statement which was believed to have been directed to the Chama Cha Mashinani (CCK) party leader Rutto was reportedly never taken lightly by the latter's supporters.
