A family in Laisamis in Marsabit County has come out to claim that one of their kin who is a senior cop was abducted by his colleagues and taken to an unknown destination.

Osman Godana a Senior Police Sergeant attached to Laisamis Police Station was on Monday, September 13 allegedly abducted by four armed men who were also dressed in bullet proof vests at Blue Post area which is located along the busy Thika Super Highway.

Omar Dida, who is the father of Godana said that his son left home on the day he was abducted at 5pm and was abducted at 9pm with his car being left in the midst of the road.

“The four men were in a black vehicle that resembled a Toyota Noah, they blocked his car next to Del Monte while he was on his way to Nairobi,” Dida said.

He said that lacking an option, his son applied emergency brakes in order to avoid hitting the vehicle. Little did he know that the occupants in the car were on a mission to abduct him.

The four men jumped out of the vehicle that had blocked his and went straight to his car ordering him to step out while his hands were raised.

“I believe that the four men in the vehicle were police officers since they all had bulletproof vests on and each had a gun,” Dida said.

Immediately he stepped out of his car, the four men bundled him into the waiting black car and drove towards Nairobi.

He said that those were the details he had gathered from witnesses who say saw what had transpired.

Dida now wants the Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang’i to intervene in the matter and ensure that the whereabouts of his son are known.
