A Tanzanian national has been jailed for 15 years after he was found guilty of defiling a 17-year-old girl in Homa Bay County three years ago.
Zuberi Bado Isa appeared before Ndhiwa Principal Magistrate Mary Ochieng’ where he faced two counts.
In the first count, the 24-year-old foreigner was accused of defilement contrary to the Sexual Offences Act of 2006.

In the second count, he was charged with being in Kenya unlawfully illegally.
The accused admitted the charge of being in Kenya illegally but denied defiling the minor.
A medical report from Dr Nelson Waka of Ndhiwa sub-county hospital revealed that the girl was defiled.
The accused was given 14 days to appeal.
