The man identified as Jeremiah Ndiga, a resident of Kitare village in Kasewe A Sub Location allegedly tied his son to a tree within the homestead before proceeding to beat the child with a piece of wood inflicting serious injuries on the boy.

The incident is said to have happened on Sunday.

While confirming the incident, the area Assistant Chief Dickson Samba said the child was rescued by neighbours who responded to his screams.
