Police in Ikolomani, Kakamega County have arrested a 37-year-old man over the death of his brother.

Also arrested alongside the suspect, Wilton Kudayi, was Kudayi’s friend, Edwin Shigali, who allegedly took part in the victim’s killing.

It is alleged that Kudayi and his sibling got into a fight after Kudayi mocked the now-deceased that he (deceased) was infertile, and, therefore, he (Kudayi) should be allowed to impregnate the deceased’s wife, Judith Mulama, on his behalf.

A fight between the two arose. During the melee, Kudayi is alleged to have pushed his sibling against a stone, which hit and cracked his skull.

The victim died while being taken to the nearby Iguhu Hospital.

The deceased’s wife, Judith, said the two brothers have -- for long -- been at loggerheads, with the suspect at one point accusing the now-deceased of wanting to kill him using a panga.

The deceased was taken to Kakamega County Teaching and Referral Hospital morgue as investigations into the matter continue.
