A Nairobi man who has been accused of taking advantage of a minor's frustration has been charged with a sexual offence after he allegedly defiled and took the minor to his rural home.

Court documents claim that Fredrick Ndung'u Wanjiku forced the minor to his house in the Ngando area in Nairobi Riruta's area. He is also accused of touching the teenager indecently.

Wanjiku is said to have been having a love affair with the schoolgirl before she disappeared from their home.

The suspect is said to have taken the minor to his home after she told him that she was experiencing some problems at their home.

The mother of the minor reported the matter to the police after realizing that her daughter had gone missing.

Days later, the mother received information that Wanjiku had taken her daughter to his rural home to stay with her sister. This forced her to go to Wanjiku's place where she interrogated him over the whereabouts of her daughter.

Wanjiku confessed to having taken the girl to his rural home where she was being hosted by her sister. He said that he did so to protect her from continuous family frustrations since she was his girlfriend.

An offended and angry mother left Wanjiku’s house and went and reported the matter to the police who later arrested Wanjiku.

While in police custody, he directed police together with the mother to his home where they found the girl.

Days after the minor was brought back to Nairobi, she was taken to the hospital for examination.

Wanjiku was, however, presented before Kibera Law Courts where he denied the allegations of the sexual offence that were levelled against him. Senior Principal Magistrate Esther Boke released him on a bond of Ksh, 200,000 pending mention on November 23.
