A man was yesterday arraigned at Kibera law courts for allegedly inserting his fingers inappropriately into a minor’s privates who had gone to his house.

The minor is allegedly said to have invited the accused person’s daughter to study while doing revision.

According to the charge sheet read out in court by the clerk, “the accused person Robert Amollo Okwema intentionally and unlawfully used his fingers on an 8 year old girl on September 25 at around 2 pm within Westlands”

That day, the minor had been invited to the accused house by his daughter so that they could work on their homework.

The accused person was said to have been in the house and a while later, his daughter left the sitting room briefly giving room for the accused to accomplish his ill motive.

The accused moved closer to the minor and started touching her on her bottoms and breast before inserting his fingers through her thighs to her private parts.

The minor felt a lot of discomfort and she left for her home while in pain and disclosed the same to her aunty who in turn reported the matter to the parents.

Reportedly, the accused and the minor’s parents barely knew each other and even though they live not far from each other.

The minor was later taken to the hospital where she was examined and treated before reporting the matter to the authorities who arrested the accused person.

He however pleaded not guilty to the charge before Kibera Senior Principal Magistrate Charles Mwaniki and was granted a Ksh, 300,000 bond pending mention on November 1.
