A youthful man was on Thursday morning (August 13) taken to the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital in Kisumu after collapsing at the Prosperity House, which houses the County Government offices.

The yet-to-be-identified man developed breathing problems and, thereafter, collapsed on the building’s 14th floor, which has NEMA offices.

County Government Health officers rushed to the scene and took the man to hospital.

Following the incident, occupants of Prosperity House, which is usually visited by hundreds of Kenyans daily, grew nervous, suspecting that the man was overwhelmed by COVID-19 complications.

The building houses Kisumu Governor Anyang Nyong’o’s office, the County Commissioner’s office, the Lake Region Economic Bloc Secretariat, Huduma Centre, the Immigration offices, among others.
