Man defiles 16-year-old daughter, smashes blunt object against her h**d

Police in Mbooni East, Makueni County have arrested a middle-aged man accused of defiling his 16-year-old daughter on Wednesday, June 3.

The incident happened at Kinze Sub-Location in Kalawa Ward, Mbooni Constituency, where the suspect lives with the victim.

Kinze Sub-Location Assistant Chief, Kimeu Kituu, told K24 Digital that neighbours who heard a commotion emanating from the suspect’s house on Wednesday evening found the suspect’s teenage daughter lying unconscious on the floor of her bedroom. On a blood-stained mattress, were the minor’s clothes and underwear. The victim’s neck had scratch marks, indicating that force was used in pinning her against the bed.

“Other signs indicated she had been hit in the head with a blunt object, causing her instant fainting,” said Kituu.

The suspect, at the time of neighbours’ arrival at the scene, had already escaped.

However, police found him writhing in pain meters from his house. Upon being taken to Mbooni Sub-County Hospital, it was established that he had taken poison.

Both the father-and-daughter are receiving treatment at the sub-county hospital, with police investigating the matter.

At the suspect’s house, police recovered a suicide note believed to have been written by the suspect.

In the note, the man allegedly said he and his daughter had resorted to taking their own lives because of tough economic times.
