Police in Kisumu have arrested a man who attempted to bribe KDF recruiting officers for a job.

The youthful man had written under his foot the amount of money he was willing to part with -- Ksh300 -- so as to secure recruitment into the forces.

The man had Thursday morning (February 18) gone to try his luck during the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) recruitment exercise held in Kombewa in Seme Sub-County, Kisumu County.

He was arrested alongside his mother, who had accompanied him to the exercise, police said.

The suspects are being held at a Seme police post, awaiting further legal action.
