A man was on Friday arraigned in court after he told his fellow man that he will make love to him and his mother.

Wako Dida was arraigned before Kibera Senior Principal Magistrate Esther Boke and was charged for causing a public disturbance.

The suspect pleaded guilty to abusing one Jarsob Gimda Roba by telling him that he would repeatedly make love to him, and also do the same to his mother.

“This happened within Deep Sea Slums within Parklands in Nairobi County, when the victim was approached by the suspect who uttered the abusive words to him,” Nancy Kerubo who is the prosecutor in the case said.

It remains unclear what led to the altercation of the abusive words between the two members of the Borana Community.

According to Kerubo, Borana elders had also been informed about the matter, but efforts to restore peace between them bore no fruits.

Elders of the Borana community within the Deep Sea Slums also tried to solve the matter in vain.

Instead, the suspect went on abusing the victim and even repeated similar words, which prompted the latter to report the matter to the police at Parkland's police station.

Dida took his time to request the court to forgive him, promising that he will not repeat the mistake again.

The court ruled that the suspect pays a Ksh5,000 fine or spend a total of five months in jail.

Boke also gave him a span of two weeks to appeal the matter if he was not satisfied with the ruling.
