Makueni: Police launch hunt for killer step-father

Police in Makueni have launched a manhunt for a father suspected to have killed his stepdaughter in Kinyambu sub-location, Kibwezi Sub County.

According to a police report filed by Christopher Kisses - the father of the accused- the suspect identified as Samuel Nthiwa, arrived home in the company of his wife and two stepchildren aged 6 and 10.

Trip to Makueni becomes a nightmare

Everything progressed well until Saturday night when the household heard screams from the children's room.

Upon checking, they were astonished to find the two lying in a pool of blood.

Alarmed by the shocking scene, Kisses called the police who swiftly responded, however, at the time of their arrival, the six-year-old girl had succumbed to her injuries.

The police however managed to rescue the deceased's brother who was lying unconscious after he was cut on the head.

He was rushed to Kibwezi Sub-county hospital and is currently in a critical condition.

Meanwhile, the deceased's body was moved to the mortuary awaiting an autopsy.

Police have urged members of the public to assist them in investigations by alerting them whenever they know the whereabouts of the killer suspect.
